What is a yurt?
A yurt is the traditional round home of Central Asia's nomadic peoples, including the Mongols: a frame of wooden lattice walls and roof poles is wrapped in a thick cover, and light enters through the crown at the top. Our yurts are in authentic Mongolian style, with carved doors and painted decoration.
How many guests can stay?
Itgelbirtok hosts 12–16 guests at a time, making it ideal for larger families and groups of friends – smaller parties are warmly welcome too.
Are the yurts heated?
Yes. The yurts have wood-burning stoves and heating, so they stay cosy on cooler spring and autumn nights.
How much does a yurt stay cost?
12,000 HUF per person per night, meals not included. Children under 5 stay free, ages 5–10 get 50% off. Use of the sports courts, games and shared spaces is included.
Is there a bathroom, Wi-Fi and parking?
Yes: a bathroom with shower and toilet, free Wi-Fi and free parking are available to all guests.
Can we cook on the estate?
Yes. There is a fully equipped large summer kitchen, plus a grill and cauldron – you can even prepare traditional Mongolian khorkhog.
Where is it and how do I get there?
In Adorjánháza (Fő utca 5, 8497), Veszprém county, in Hungary's Somló wine region. About 40 minutes from Győr and 2 hours from Budapest by car; by train via Celldömölk or Sárvár.
What is there to do nearby?
Horse riding, archery, cycling and stargazing on the estate, and the wine cellars of the Somló region nearby. Vulkán Spa is 15 minutes away, Várkert Spa in Pápa 25, Sárvár Spa 35, and Lake Balaton about an hour by car.
